Boston Logan Airport is the largest airport in New England, being an outlet to the rest of the world for the whole northeast of the country means it’s usually pretty busy, and it’s gotten somewhat of a bad rap over the years. However, Logan has made some amazing strides over the past decade. The federal Transportation Security Administration (TSA) actually named it the Airport of the Year in 2018! So, if you’re going to get stuck in the airport for a flight delay or layover, Logan is not a bad place to be at all. We’re going to tell you everything you need to know about good ole’ Logan Airport to make your experience the best it can be!

Eat

Sit-down: A trip to Boston wouldn’t be complete without a bowl of chowder or a lobster roll! Legal Sea Foods is all-time Boston favorite, and lucky for you, there’s more than one to choose from at Logan! You can opt for the traditional Legal Sea Foods restaurant, or if you’re feeling adventurous, try Legal’s Test Kitchen! Legal’s Test Kitchen is located in terminal A and is always evolving and trying out new recipes made with only the best local ingredients and fish. You can have a nice sit-down meal here, hang out at their bar for a little while, or if you’re in a rush you can even pick up something to go!

Upscale: If you have a little time to kill and want to go for something a little more upscale, you must go to Stephanie’s in Terminal B.  Stephanie’s first location is very successful and located on Newbury Street in Boston, so you know you’re going to get great quality food. They describe their menu as a café-style American bistro with “sophisticated comfort food” and serve everything from Crab Cake Benedict for breakfast to Hand-Cut Sirloin for dinner!

Quick Bite: The best place to get a quick bite is in Terminal C at Whalburgers! If you don’t know already, Whalburgers isn’t owned by just anyone… it’s owned by one of Boston’s most famous families, The Whalbergs! Don’t be fooled by the name, this isn’t your typical burger joint. All their meals are made in house from scratch and they only use fresh locally sourced ingredients. If your traveling with someone who’s not a burger lover don’t worry, they have a variety of other options like sandwiches, mac & cheese and salads to choose from as well. Whatever you get, don’t leave without getting a side of their famous tater tots!

Drink

Sports Bar: It’s time to talk about one of the newest and most exciting additions to Logan Airport, the Bruins Bar! The Bruins Bar is located in Terminal A and just opened March 2019! Decked out in black and gold, and filled with Bruins memorabilia, you won’t be able to miss it.  Their extensive food and drink menu and fun vibe makes it the perfect spot to hang out and catch a game before your flight.

Tap Room: If you want to try out some unique, local beers, head over to the Harpoon Tap Room. Harpoon started brewing their beer right here in Boston in 1987 and has been a New England staple ever since. With their fresh ingredients and seasonal brews, the Harpoon Tap Room is always a great place to stop at Logan!

Wine: If wine is what your craving, you must stop by Vino Volo. Vino Volo has locations in Terminals A, B, and E which are all a much different experience than the other bars we’ve talked about. It doubles as a restaurant and wine shop and has an extensive wine by the glass menu as well as small plates and dinner to go along with it. Vino Volo is a wonderful place to relax and unwind while enjoying a high-quality glass of wine before your flight.
