Nahant is the smallest town in the state and is almost an island. It is connected to Lynn by a 1 mile long tombolo that houses the causeway. Aside from this tombolo, the town is completed surrounded by water. It is home to several popular beaches including Long Beach which is the one mile tombolo that connects Nahant to Lynn. It is a public beach and has parking available for $10 for Massachusetts residents or $20 for non-residents.
Visitors to Nahant can mainly enjoy the beaches, but there are a few points of interest in Nahant. There are several World War II Bunkers that were used to defend Boston Harbor and there is also a golf course in Nahant. Salem, Massachusetts has a ton of things to do and is only 15 minutes away.
